A Philosophy Professor’s Note on “Abubakr Mohammadi, Fatemeh Mohammadi”:

A New Focus on a Subject Which Is Fire under the Ashes

Iran Theater – Bijan Abdolkarimi : The Shia-Sunni issue is a fire smoldering under the ashes in our country and can put the country’s security in danger. But no one has dealt with the topic as it is by “Abubakr Mohammadi, Fatemeh Mohammadi”.

We are unfortunately facing a situation that reasonability is grappling with several problems. Our country is surrounded by crisis such as sectarian conflicts and radical Islamists violence. They are seriously threatening us.

I admire this theater troupe for picturing a real topic, which pioneers real reasonability at a time we have become a slave of Don Quixote-like and delusional wisdom, which is unrelated to the real life.

I am happy that I watched the play, which honestly and frankly pictures a real topic of the mankind despite all restrictions and free from any political or ideological propaganda.

I have particularly been interested in three points in the show; first the choice of topic by writer and dealing with it in a correct way, second the good performance of the show with its proper timing and third putting religious differences besides love because any conflict could become weak under the shadow of love. All of these are reflected in “Abubakr Mohammadi, Fatemeh Mohammadi” very well.

I loved it and recommend you to watch and enjoy it too.
