Theater Is Continuation of Dreams Born by a Creative Mind

Mahdi Shafiee, director general of Dramatic Arts Center, issued a message on the occasion of 23^rd International Children & Young Adults Theater Festival in Hamedan, irantheater.ir reported.

In the message, he wished victory and success for artists and organizers of the children and adolescents theater and the children of the world.

The message read;

Theater can be a continuation of the childhood joy and the passion of the adolescence. It can be continuation of ideals and dreams, which were born someday in a dreamer mind and they have gradually become truer and clearer in the notebook of the life through new experiences and lessons. Theater describes society elegantly and kindly for those eyes, ears and lips, who walk anxiously and with curiosity step by step to help them choose their today’s images and tomorrow’s perspective innocently. The children and adolescents can see their pictures through theater thanks to their generous trust (in performing arts) and they can travel to the city of their immediate and distant dreams hand in hand with this kind teacher.

The concern of theater for children and adolescents is a bright future for the children who wish for emergence of a hero to open wings miraculously to the rescue of a world, which has a dark sky and an earth full of violence and anger. Which stage deserves better than theater to stay face to face with curious children and adolescents to question musts and must-nots of the world. We should pray the coming days to be the days of joy and the coming days the nights of peace for the children of the world.

I thank God for having the opportunity to be with you in 23^rd International Children & Young Adults Theater Festival and hope to be able to pass the exam of being with you.

I honestly shake compassionate and capable hands of all participating artists, art-lover people and my colleagues in Hamedan province and the secretariat of the festival in Tehran for holding this festival of kindness and hope. I pray God to bless all those active in the field success and honor.
