The 23rd International Children & Young Adults Festival closed yesterday in Hamedan at the presence of art and culture officials as well as foreign and domestic guests.
Fazel Ebadi, director general of Hamedan Culture and Islamic Guidance Department, congratulated the birth anniversary of prophet Muhammad (PBHH) and Imam Jafar Sadegh (AS).
He expressed gratitude for participation of artists, officials and guests at the ceremony, irantheater.ir reported.
The 23rd International Children & Young Adults Festival, the official said, hosted 550 artists from Iran and other countries in 60 theater troupes. The festival could not be hold such perfectly without the cooperation of officials in the province, he added.
Mr Ebadi said that the 100-year anniversary of Iran children theater was held in the festival to commemorate late Jabar Baghcheban while the festival paid a tribute to master Fayyazi for his long career in children theater.
Shahram Karami, secretary of the festival, thanked artists, experts and his colleagues for assisting him in organizing the festival.
“I believe children must be raised with the language of art. The 100-year anniversary of children theater in Iran is a source of pride, showing the history and future of the art,” Mr Karami said.
He hoped that the festival would take a major stride toward holding the festival better in the future.
The winners were announced after the speeches.
