Jafar Vali Helped Me to Have My First Stage Acting

When we had started working in theater long time ago, the condition was not simple. But everyone tried hard to move in line with the world theater. Jafar Vali was one of those creative persons who worked hard.
Mohammad Ali Keshavarz told irantheater.ir on the demise of Jafar Vali that he was one of the best in Iran performing arts. His memory would stay with the theater lovers, he added.
Mr Vali was an artist who had his own style and found his way in theater path himself, the renowned actor said, adding that he was a professional who was a pioneer and ahead of his peers in knowledge.
Mr Keshavarz said the he was his first stage acting in a play directed by Jafar Vali and owed himself forever to Mr Vali.
“As a student of Dramatic Arts Faculty, it was very important and valuable for me to play in a professional piece and Jafar Vali paved the ground for me,” the actor said.
He reminded that the late Mr Vali started his career concurrent with Ali Nasirian, Ezatollah Entezami, Pari Saberi, Hamid Samandarian, Homa Rousta and …
He hoped that those artists who are alive from that generation to live longer and prayed God to bless the family of Mr Vali and the theater family with patience.
Jafar Vali, the veteran artist, was hospitalized on December 8 due to heart and lung problems. He passed away on December 17.
He was a stage director, actor and playwright who received awards such as an honorary diploma for the best script (Maryam and Mitil) from the 9th International Children and Young Adults Film Festival in 1993. He was nominated for the best supporting actor (The Reward of Silence) in the 25th Fadjr International Film Festival in 2006 and the 11th Cinema House Festival in 2007.
He was buried on Monday in a ceremony attended by Iran artists and officials.
