To Have Acting Workshop in Tehran with ArteStudio

Riccardo Vannuccini, an Italian director, will visit Tehran to stage a play by William Shakespeare in Iran for second time.

Riccardo Vannuccini directed Hamlet by William Shakespeare in Da Theater last year following an acting workshop in Tehran. He is going to rehearse Romeo and Juliet with his students in Tehran this year, irantheater.ir reported.

Payman Shahmohammadi, project director of the workshop, which starts on January 15 in Tehran Independent Plateau, said that the students would be trained to play in Romeo and Juliet in 12 sessions.

He added that Mr Vannuccini works on methods of creative acting and performances, which creatively form during his workshop.

Mr Shahmohammadi said that another workshop would be held for children of Afghan refuges for free. The eight-session workshop will take place in Aftab Children School of Afghan children.

ArteStudio is an Italian cultural institute founded in January 5, 2001 by Alba Maria Ungaro (director/actor), Riccardo Vannuccini (director/actor) and Maria Grazia Bartoli (actor). The institute is aimed at bolstering, developing and promoting theater in general, especially among the youth as well as cooperation between countries.  The institute has cooperated with schools in central and northern Italy. It has had cooperation with Lebanon and Iran too.

Riccardo Vannuccini is an author, director and actor. He had been active in film making too. He studied history of theater at Rome University, starting his career in 1978 with a performance in Rome Festival.

ArteStudio acting workshop will be held from January 12 to January 29 in 12 sessions.
