Reza Kianian on Photo Competition of Fadjr Festival
Fierce Competition among Photographers

Reza Kianian, a jury member of the photo competition of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival, said that there was stiff competition among the photos, which were qualified for the final competition.
Reza Kianian, who is a jury member of the photo competition of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival, said that the festival must be active throughout the year and its results must be seen during these twelve days, irantheater.ir reported.
It means that pieces from Iran should have performances in other countries and Iran would host shows from other countries and the country should have always see holding different sections of the festival instead of these short twelve days.
The cinema, stage and television artist said that secretary of the festival was appointed soon contrary to previous editions while a budget must be allocated for him to make his plans functional.
Mr Kianian suggested that the secretary of the festival should be appointed for a ten-year period to be able to improve the event.
On negative consequence of annual change in the secretaries of the festival, he said that this change meant that the plants, which were planted by the secretary of each edition to be rooted out by the next one because each secretary would have had its new approach.
Stressing that Iran had managed to jumpstart its theater, Mr Kianian expressed satisfaction that the art had become so popular in the country in a way that Tehran would host between 115 and 150 theater pieces each night with huge audience.
The actor, who is an experienced photographer and poster designer too, said that photography had grown significantly in Iran like many other arts and those who participated in the festival had competed fiercely.
On how he had chosen the final qualifiers, Mr Kianian said that the primary yardstick was that the photo should have had primary features of an image.
The 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival will take place in Tehran from January 20 to January 31. Saeed Asadi is the secretary of the festival.
