Ostad Mohammad Award to Farideh Farjam
The closing ceremony of Ostad Mohammad Award will be held on Saturday in the City Theater in Tehran with the participation of theater, cinema and literature figures.
Farideh Farjam, Iran’s first woman playwright, will be honored in the ceremony as “Iran Theater Veteran Figure”, irantheater.ir reported. In addition to Farideh Farjam, another figure will be honored too.
The ceremony will also award the final nominees for receiving “Mahmoud Ostad Mohammad Emblem” in two sections; original play and adaptation. The emblem will be awarded to the top playwrights of 2015.
Farhad Tohidi, Majid Qeisari, Roya Nonahali, Asghar Hemmat and Mohammad Yarahmadi are the jury members. Saeed Tabatabaei is the secretary of this edition.
The 2nd Mahmoud Ostad Mohammad Award is aimed at choosing the best play of 2015 among the published and performed works. It is founded by Ostad Mohammad Foundation.
Ahou Kheradmand, Masoud Jafari-Jozani, Maryam Zandi, Qotbeddin Sadeqi, Media Kashigar, Fatemeh Motamedaria and Shahram Nazeri are the board of trustees of the foundation. The board of directors include Masoud Jafari-Jozani, Media Kashigar, Parastou Golestani, Mana Ostad Mohammad and Javad Atefeh.
The ceremony will be held at 7 pm, Saturday.
