A Memorial Service for Donya Fanizadeh

The memorial service for Ms Fanizadeh, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 49, will be held from 12:15 to 13:30 in Al-Reza Mosque in Niloofar Square, irantheater.ir

Iranian puppeteer Donya Fanizadeh died on Wednesday from cancer. She was performer of popular puppets such as “Kolah Ghermezi”, “Khaleh Ghourbagheh”, and some puppets in “The Mice City”.

She had earlier replied to a question that “If Kolah Ghermerzi will exist and you do not, what do you do?” “There are two types of not being. Whether I won’t live that is the thing only God knows. If I do not be the performer of Kolah Ghermezi, that’s sad. It is not the first time I am facing this question. I have thought about it before. If the team I am working with will someday stop working with me and I will no longer be Kolah Ghermezi’s puppeteer, I will admit. I will have one demand from them to let me stay with him even if I would no longer be his puppeteer.”
