Amir Dejakam to Stage “Glass” in Int’l Section of Fadjr Theater Festival

Amir Dejakam, author, university professor and stage director, said that he was preparing a play to be read out in a session.

Mr Dejakam told Mizan news agency that he had begun rehearsal for reading “Censored Love Letter”, adding that the play would be read out this Friday, irantheater.ir reported.

Director of “Dream of the Sea” said that he was spending a tough period now because laws, approaches, economic issues and administrative matters were changed. “Our generation who has devoted its whole life for theater has to stand on our feet and come to term with problems and changes,” he complained.

Mr Dejakam said that he would have “Glass” in the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival and was busy with its rehearsal.

The noted stage director said that “Glass” would revolve around immigration, its problems and political and economic ramifications, adding that the play had a solo character, which would be played by an Australian actor in English.

Mr Dejakam said that the public performance of the play would be played by an Iranian actor in Persian after the festival.

Tehran will host the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival from January 20 to January 31.
