Designer of the poster of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival said in a ceremony to unveil the poster that theater-lovers could design the poster with their own photos so that the festival would have millions of poster in the upcoming edition.
The poster of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival, which is designed by Abbas Mahboub, was unveiled on Wednesday in a ceremony attended by secretary and directors of the festival, graphic designers and media people in Mashahir Hall of the City Theater in Tehran, irantheater.ir reported.
Design of the poster shows photos of people whose eyes are covered by a theater mask, which reminds the number of 35 in Persian. The sign is known by theater-lovers as sadness/happiness sign of theater. Iranian arabesque motifs cover the mask.
The unique characteristic of the poster is that theater-lovers can replace their own photos in the open layer of the poster to make an exclusive poster of them.
Experts say one of the characteristics of a poster is that it would be remembered and audience members would attach it in their work places or houses given their concerns or its visual attractions. This characteristic has been forsaken due to dominance of the mass media and saturation of the visual capacity of the audience. They hope that Fadjr poster would remain in the heart of Iranian theater lovers thanks to its element of personalization.
