Yasrebi, Khanian & Qaderi to Choose Top Plays

Play writing workshops were held in 10 regions in the country this October, irantheater.ir reported. Chista Yasrebi, Jamshid Khanian and Nasrollah Qaderi will choose top plays from 88 ones, which were written in the workshops in October.

Chista Yasrebi, a PhD doctorate of pedagogical psychology, had started her career in 1989. She has written 26 plays and has received awards from different festivals. She has repeatedly been a jury member of different theater, cinema and book festivals.

Jamshid Khanian, noted author and playwright, has started writing in 1980s. His plays include “Half-a-Day in Interrogation Room”, “Fourth Name”, “On Naybandi” and “Babour Playgame”.

Nasrollah Qaderi, prolific playwright, holds a master’s degree in theater direction from Tarbiate Modarres University (Instructor Training University) and a bachelor’s degree in cinema direction from Art University. He has been known as director, critic, playwright and cinema and theater professor.  

Ahmad Joulaei, Yadollah Vafadari and Mahmoud Farhang have earlier appointed to review 128 stage and street pieces. They have chosen 66 stage and 22 street pieces to be performed publicly.

The 12^th National Basij Theater Festival will be held in February.
