Visual Identity Responsible to Picture Theater Troupe Character
The main objective of visual identity is to picture the character of theater troupes and be consistent and unified with pieces.
Amrollah Farhadi, a jury member of 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival, told irantheater.ir said that inclusion of visual identity section to the festival was wise.
The section would help theater groups and visual objectives of pieces, he said, adding that a show and a theater group should define an identity and try to bolster their visual identity.
Mr Farhadi said that he did not take part in workshops, which had been organized last year to introduce the section. But he added that he was heard of Ebrahim Hosseini that they had grappled with delays but they were generally satisfactory.
On definition of visual identity and its main function, the jury member said that visual identity could belong to any phenomenon, organization, company, theater group.
Mr Farhadi added that visual identity was a main objective of a piece. Any piece and theater troupe had character and ideals, which define its behaviour, function and audience, he explained.
Mr Farhadi stressed that graphic designers in visual identity section were obliged to design visual signs, picture character of a theater troupe and preserve its consistency and uniformity with pieces. “Therefore, brochures, posters, multimedia and social channels are included in this category.”
He explained that all the above-mentioned criteria were taken into account during that selection of finalists of the section.
Visual identity section is added to the festival recently. Ebrahim Haghigh, Amrollah Farhadi and Alireza Mostafazadeh Ebrahimi are the jury members of the section. They selected 17 theater groups of 21 graphic designers as finalists whose works will be displayed in an exhibition of Artists Forum in Tehran.
