Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri, minister of Culture & Islamic Guidance, issued a message on the occasion of the opening of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival.

Theater can be regarded as an essential effort by man to form a favourable social structure. Theater visualizes human-making and enlightening beliefs and thoughts through a noble art. The art has been able to connect deeply to the soul and spirit of humans and have their backing anytime it has served the indigenous and ritual values.
Popular art of theater is one of the oldest manifestations of the human art, which has a long history in Iran and deserves attention and sublimation. Therefore, one of the necessities is to remove concerns of valuable artists for they would be able to produce fine artworks and present them to lovers of this art.
Theater can undoubtedly play an important role in creating the spirit of hope and happiness and identify the social upheavals. Those who are involved in the art have never forgotten their constructive role despite the shortages and difficulties.
