107 Playwrights & 103 Directors Taking Part

Iran Theater: Statistics show that 95 pieces are taking part in the stage section, of which 54 are in review of Iran theater, 10 in New Generation Section, 16 in Nations Section and 15 as guests.
The Fadjr International Theater Festival is the most performing arts event of Iran, which helps encourage dramatic arts production and artists. It is a center for the country’s theater ensembles to exchange experience and art with each other and the audience. Besides, representatives of other nations, Iran theater would have a chance to evaluate its high number of productions in a sound and culture-oriented competition.
The 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival is divided in two sections;
- Nations Section, A Review of Iran Theater, Guests and New Generation Section
- Competition Sections include international, young theater talents and a review of Iran theater.
Statistics show that 95 pieces are being staged in the festival of which 79 are Iranians and 16 are not from Iran. The shows include 54 in review of Iran theater, 10 in New Generation Section, 16 in Nations Section and 15 as guests.
34 stage works are taking part in international competition section, 29 by young talents to compete in youth theater competition and 25 in a competition in a review of Iran theater. Seven pieces are not vying for any award.
107 playwrights are participating of whom 84 are men and 23 women. 14 plays have more than one authors and seven foreign plays are directed by Iranian directors.
103 directors are taking part in the festival of whom 78 are men and 25 are women. Seven pieces are directed by more than one director.
44 pieces are both written and directed by one individual.
