The First Book of Iranian Theater in Print

For the first time, a complete list of Iran’s theater bodies, halls, sites and educational centers is published.
The First Book of Iranian Theater is published in Persian and English concurrent with the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival, irantheater.ir reported.
The reference book in two volumes is published by Dramatic Arts Association of Iran to give an insight of Iran theater structure, organizations as well as specialized theater and educational foundations.
The First Book of Iranian Theater includes active sector of Iran theater, educational centers, performing arts halls, festivals, publishing houses, specialized libraries and websites, dividing the state-run and private sections.
The details of each center including address, post code, landline and website address are added.
The significant point of the book is that it has devoted numerous pages to educational centers of performing arts such as 66 universities, 12 fine arts high schools and 132 theater educational bodies. 56 pages are allocated to introducing country’s theater halls.
Mashhoud Mohsenian has collected the book under the supervision of Mehrdad Rayani-Makhsous. The research team of the book is Babak Seddighian, Sara Poursabri and Mehdi Yahyapour. Ahmad Alizadeh is the art director, Fatemeh Shayeghani the page layout, Farjam Ashuri the translator, Samaneh Moubed the typist and Amid Rajabi the editor of the book.
The first edition is in 1000 copies at a price of 20,000 tomans.
