Iran Theater: Thirty-five pieces are taking part as environmental, alternative, interaction and other outdoor forms of theater in the in 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival of which five are in environmental, 14 in review, three in alternative, four in guest and two in international sections.
The festival has witnessed a growth of street theater in recent years, gaining momentum as one of the valuable and permanent sections of the festival. The 35th edition of the festival has opened a broader window for street theater, giving them a chance to be more creative and try other forms of theater, which can be performed in public places. It is categorized in three sections of review, new productions (environmental, interaction and other types of outdoor performances) and competition.
Statistics show that 35 environmental, alternative, interaction and other outdoor forms of theater are participating in the festival. The pieces are being performed in outdoors areas near the City Theater, Iran Artistic Forum, Milad Tower, Contemporary Art Museum, the sixth floor of Charsou movie theater, Vahdat Hall parking lot, Aryana Gallery, Italia Street, Café of the City Theater and Shenakht Gallery.
Out of the 35 pieces, five are in environmental, 14 in review, three in alternative, four in guest and two in international sections.
Eighteen pieces are competing for awards of which 11 are taking part in other sections too.
Thirty eight directors are directing the pieces of whom 30 are men and eight women.
The number of playwrights are 38 of whom 32 are men and six women.
Four pieces have more than one author and three more than one director while 21 pieces are directed and written by one individual.
