Winners of Poster, Photo & Visual Identity, Research & Play Sections Awarded

Saeed Asadi: Fadjr Festival Eyes Social Responsibility of Performing Arts

The closing ceremony of poster, photo and visual Identity, research and playwrighting sections of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival was held on Friday, January 27 in Nazerzadeh Kermani Auditorium of Iranshahr Theater.

Nazerzadeh Kermani Auditorium of Iranshahr Theater hosted the closing ceremony of five sections of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival, irantheater.ir reported. These sections are the side parts of the festival.

Ali Moradkhani, deputy culture minister for artistic affairs, Mahdi Shafiee, director general of the Dramatic Arts Center, Armaghan Behdarvand, managing director Iran Association of Dramatic Arts, Majdi Afzali, managing director of the Contemporary Arts Development Institute, Saeed Asadi, secretary of the festival, Majid Rajabi-Memar, managing director of Iran Artists Forum, Gholamreza Montazeri, head of Basiji Artists Organization, Reza Kianian, Ebrahim Haqiqi, Hossein Parsaei, Ataollah Koupal, Mohammad Hatami, Siavosh Tahmores, Masoud Foroutan, Reza Moatarian, Rouzbeh Hosseini, Javad Atefeh and Fereydoun Khalili, managing director of Iran Society for Persons with Hearing Loss attended the ceremony.

Saeed Asadi, secretary of the festival, welcomed the participants, saying that the ceremony was not aimed at only awarding the winners rather than turning into a social and cultural event.

On the issues, which are important in this edition of the festival, Mr Asadi said that the theme of the event was social responsibility of performing arts. He added that the festival was hosting some artists from the Iran Society for Persons with Hearing Loss who suffer from vision or hearing losses as part of defining social responsibility for theater.

Reza Kianian, Masoud Foroutan and Reza Moatarian, director of photo competition and exhibition as well as Mohammad Khoshrou, an advisor to deputy culture minister for artistic affairs, awarded the winners of photo competition.

The jury including Reza Kianian, Seifollah Samadian and Abbas Kowsari, praised Hamed Malekpour for “Mississippi Dies Seated” from Tehran, Hossein Emaili for “No Lullaby (The Dance of Death)” from Tehran, Mona Tehrani Moayyed for “No Lullaby (The Dance of Death)” from Tehran and Farnaz Matloubi for “Perigernous…” from Tabriz.

It awarded;

Seyyed Ziaoddin Safavian for “The Pillowman” from Tehran, third place

Parna Baharali for “The Misunderstanding” from Tehran, second place

Farhad Javid for “Mississippi Dies Seated” from Tehran, first place

Ebrahim Haghighi, Alireza Mostafazadeh, Mazyar Tehrani, Ebrahim Hosseini, Mehdi Afzali, managing director of Contemporary Arts Development Institute and Mr Tabatanei awarded the winners of poster and visual identity competitions.

The jury including Ebrahim Haghighi, Amrollah Farhadi, Alireza Mostafazadeh Ebrahimi praised Saeed Khaleghi for “Osto Vidato Ensemble”, Saeed Rezvani and Maryam Farhadi for “Mahtab Experimental Ensemble” and Karang Tayari and Pouneh Sadeghzadeh for “Tamasha Ensemble” in visual identity competition.

It awarded;

Sahand Badeli for “Sokout Ensemble”, third place

Iman Arzi for “Smache Ensemble”, second place

Elham Hemmat for “Shaya Ensemble”, first place

In poster competition, the jury including Ghobad Shiva, Mazyar Tehrani and Majid Kashani praised Saghi Entezami Rad for “Performer”, Mehdi Davaei for “Scorsese”, Zahra Ansari for “God’s Tears Are Not Sour”.

It awarded;

Maysam Naderi for his works collection, third place

Amir Mesbahi for “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”, second place

Mehdi Fatehi for his works collection, first place

Ataollah Koupal, Mohammad Hatami, Abbas Hosseini, a representative of Iran Society for Persons with Vision Loss awarded the winners of researches on city, citizenship and theater competition.

The jury including Ataollah Koupal, Shirin Bozorgmehr and Saeed Asadi awarded Ali Royeen, Ramtin Shahbazi and Shabnam Shizadi and Behrouz Mahmoudi Bakhtiari in this section.

In play writing competition, Fereydoun Khalili, managing director of Iran Society for Persons with Hearing Loss, Javad Atefeh, Rouzbeh Hosseini awarded the top playwrights.

Maryam Mansouri for “Snow Warms the Land, third place

Tahmineh Mohammadi for “Private Museum”, second place

Payam Larian for “Algerian Butterfly”, first place

The jury members of the section comprised of Hossein Pakdel, Javad Atefeh and Rouzbeh Hosseini.
