Fadjr Award Winners Announced
Moradkhani: Iran Can Be Theater Hub of Region

The 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival closed on Tuesday evening, awarding winners. The closing ceremony, which was directed by Nima Dehqan, was presented by Ehsan Karami.
Seyyed Reza Salehi-Amiri, culture minister, Ali Moradkhani, deputy culture minister for cinematic affairs, Mahdi Shafiee, director general of the dramatic arts center, and Saeed Asadi, secretary of the festival, took part in the ceremony, which was held at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall.
The closing ceremony started after reciting the holy Quran and respecting to national anthem. A piece played by Kayvan Kalhor and symbolic signs to commemorate the memory of firefighters, who were martyred in Plasco building fire were aired, irantheater.ir reported.
Mr Moradkhani delivered speech later, saying that Fadjr theater festival was closing its best status and the cultural officials hope that Iran theater would witness brilliant production with the cooperation of all theater community.
He added that the festival witnessed positive points this year, stressing that Iran could have access to the world market and turn into a hub of theater in the region given the rich human resources that it has.
Mahdi Shafiee, director general of Dramatic Arts Center, said that the festival was an opportunity to analyze the country’s theater status.
Also, secretary of the festival said, “we are happy we are together tonight in such a night full of emotions and excitement to be added up to social memory of the country’s theater.”
