Memories of Ta'zieh Performance Will Stay With Us

Performance of Ta'zieh of Hor by Alaeddin Qasemi took place in the presence of Eugenio Barba, members of Odin Teatret, Mahdi Shafiee, director general of Dramatic Arts Center, Asghar Hemmat, managing director Theater Forum, Davoud Fathali Beigi, Bahram Ebrahimi, Poopak Azimpour and a group of foreign artists, irantheater.ir reported.

Eugenio Barba said after watching the performance that it was the first time he and Odin Teatret watched Ta'zieh and was influenced by the performance of the actors who knew their job very well.  

Mr Barba added that the performance was not only the result of commitment but capabilities of actors of Ta'zieh and it was an unprecedented experience to see the singing power of actors on a simple carpet in a space like lobby of the City Theater Complex.

He added that all members of the Odin Teatret would have good memories of Iran and the Ta'zieh performance would give the ensemble a deep experience, which would stay with them.
