A Marriage Proposal to Open Iran Theater in New Persian Year

Iran Theater will open on March 23 with “A Marriage Proposal” in Sangelaj Theater.
Sangelaj Theater, Iran’s oldest active theater will open Iran Theater in the Persian New Year, which began on March 21, with “A Marriage Proposal”.
The performance schedules had been unorganized and sporadic in previous years and had been only to honor the World Theatre Day during New Year holidays, irantheater.ir reported.
But the theater halls will open tomorrow and will have performances regularly.
“A Marriage Proposal”, which is adapted and directed by Seyyed Azim Mousavi, is written by Russian playwright Anton Chekhov. It uses traditional and folkloric performing arts of Iran in its adaptation to make a memorable experience for the audience. It is a musical play.
Mahmoud Rasekhfar, Ali Fathali, Samila Karimi, Reza Gilanpour and Hamidreza Moradi play in “A Marriage Proposal”. Zohreh Eshqi Khas heads the music team of the show and Behrouz Azad-Parto,Newsha Sardashti, Mansoureh Ahmadi, Atiyeh Delavar, Azin Fouladvand, Maryam Mohaqeqi and Mahin Honardouste are its members.
The play will have performance every day at 19:30.
