In a 750-sq-meter Building
Behrouz Gharibpour to Design National Museum of Iran Theatre

Behrouz Gharibpour, noted director, acknowledged that he had started designing and building National Museum of Iran Theatre, hoping that it would open in fall.
The land, stretching over an area of 750 square meters, was purchased and Mr Gharibpour was going to design and build the museum, irantheater.ir reported.
Mr Gharibpour said that the purchase of the building was finalized and he was proud to be design and run the museum after preliminary talks.
Hoping that the museum would open by fall thanks to supports by officials, he said early works were underway and the designing had already been started.
Referring to the small area the building would cover, the director and art manager stressed that the building was not spacious enough for Iran Theatre but it could be a step forward for opening a museum that would cover the whole Iran Theatre history.
The design and construction of the three-story building had begun as Ali Moradkhani, deputy culture minister for artistic affairs, said on the National Theatre Day on March 27 that the ministry and Dramatic Arts Center was determined to improve performing arts infrastructure this year.
Mr Gharibpour has so far designed Bahman Cultural Complex, Iran Artists Forum, Entezami Museum/House and first puppet opera museum. The latter opened on March 27.
