Sangelaj Theatre welcomed 1205 spectators who came to watch “A Marriage Proposal” during the first eight days of the Persian New Year, which was started on March 21.
The play, which is written and directed by Seyyed Azim Mousavi, has begun on March 23.
Some 1205 audiences watched the piece during the eight first days of the holidays grossing 13,701,000 tomans, irantheater.ir reported.
Sangelaj Theater is Iran’s oldest active theater. “A Marriage Proposal”, which is adapted and directed by Seyyed Azim Mousavi, is written by Russian playwright Anton Chekhov. It uses traditional and folkloric performing arts of Iran in its adaptation to make a memorable experience for the audience. It is a musical play.
Mahmoud Rasekhfar, Ali Fathali, Samila Karimi, Reza Gilanpour and Hamidreza Moradi play in “A Marriage Proposal”. Zohreh Eshqi Khas heads the music team of the show and Behrouz Azad-Parto,Newsha Sardashti, Mansoureh Ahmadi, Atiyeh Delavar, Azin Fouladvand, Maryam Mohaqeqi and Mahin Honardouste are its members.
The play has performances every day at 19:30.
