Following Successful Performance of "The Opening" by Neda Shahrokhi

"Conference of Birds, Attar" in Paris

"Conference of Birds, Attar", a joint production of Iran and France, will be staged in Paris.

The play, which is inspired by Mantiq-ut-Tayr of Persian poet Farid ud-Din Attar, is co-produced by Iran and France, irantheater.ir reported.

Neda Shahrokhi, Jean Louis Heckel and Yasman Khajehei direct the play, which is the result of a workshop by the former director of Ecole de Charles de Mesier and current director of Nef Theater Company in Iran. The French artist was invited to instruct master classes in Iran by Fanous Art & Culture House.  

The play will be performed in Nef Theater Company's auditorium in Paris on April 9 and 10.

Ava Tadayyon, Elmira Ashofteh, Pegah Ebrahimi, Sepideh Eidi, Arefeh Sadegh Mohammadi, Nicky Saghari, Mahsa Bahari, Reza Maddah and Anahita Houshan will act in "Conference of Birds, Attar".

The performance will follow another play –"The Opening"- by Ms Shahrokhi in Nef Theater Company's auditorium last week. –"The Opening", which is written by Sepideh Eidi and produced by Morteza Youneszadeh, is a product of Fanous Art & Culture House. The show received audience enthusiasm.

"The Opening" or "I Write My History" was performed in Fanous Art & Culture House earlier. It tells the story of common people and how their lives were influenced by decisions of those in power throughout history.

Ms Shahrokhi said that "Conference of Birds, Attar" will be performed in Tehran soon.
