Iran Theater on New Pieces in Private Theatre Halls

New Season of Plays

Most private-run theatre halls are hosting new plays in Persian New Year, which was started on March 21.

Also, some of them are hosting successful pieces such as "Mafia", "God of Carnage" and "Last Letter", irantheater.ir reported.

Baran Theatre hosted the last show of "The Iron Hatted", which is directed and written by Pejman Abdi. It has had two shows at 16:30 and 21:00.

"Mafia", which is written and directed by Afrouz Afrand, has been performing since February 3 in Baran Theatre at 21:00. The piece, which is about seven friends in a goodbye party, is welcomed by the audience. Negar Abedi, Hamidreza Fallahi, Ali Tajmir, Misaq Zare', Ghazaleh Nazar, Ervin Galestian, Tony Avakian and Gholchehr Damghani play in the 85-minute show.

"Sisyphus and Death Comedy" is a joint production of Ali Ziaei and Masoud Rousta. Baran Theatre is hosting the piece at 18:30 every day since March 26.

Paliz Theatre is hosting "The Last Letter", which is written and directed by Mehrdad Korushnia. The piece will have shows until April 14. It is warmly welcomed by the audience. Navid Mohammadzadeh, Maysam Norouzi, Pouria Rahimi Sam and Baran Kowsari play in "The Last Letter".

Paliz Theatre is hosting "God of Carnage", which is directed by Ali Sarabi. It has two shows every night at 20:00 and 22:00. Maral Bani-Adam, Setareh Pesiani, Navid Mohammadzadeh and Ali Sarabi act in the play.

"Hum", which is directed by Abbas Abdolazadeh, is beinf performed in Paliz Theatre at 18:00 every day.

"Peperoni for Dictator" is another piece in Paliz Theatre, which is directed by Ali Ahmadi. It is being performed every day at 20:30 until May 6.

Arghanoun Theatre is hosing "Khorous Zari Pirhan Pari va Khale Souskeh", which is directed by Sina Nouraei. It is performed every day at 17:30.

"Back Home" is another piece being performed in Arghanoun Theatre. It is co-directed by Ramin Masoumian and Farid Qaderpanah. It will end on April 16. The piece has a duration of 75 minutes.  

Independent Theatre is hosting two new pieces; "Romeo and Juliet" by Hasti Hosseini at 20:30 and "Do You Go With Which Wind?", a co-production of Iran and Switzerland. The 55-minute piece is directed by Kamal Hashemi.

Mashayekhi Hall is hosting "Who Did Not Know George", which is written by Zaynab Aqajanpour. It is directed by Amir Hossein Alipour and is being performed every day at 17:15. The 60-minute piece is about WWII.

"Will You Please Listen" is written by Amir Ebadi. It is directed by Arsalan Ebadi and is being performed at 19:00 every day.
