Garage Theatre Company Invited to Odin Festive Week

Garage Theatre Company, which is laboratory and experimental theatre works on body and voice and experimenting new methods of acting, is holding both performances and independent cultural and research events. Ali Masoudi has embarked on making a three-hour documentary on Eugenio Barba under a research program called VU.

Therefore, Mr Masoudi and Garage Experimental Theatre Company from Qom have been invited to attend the Festive Week of Odin Teatret this year.

The Festive Week includes work demonstrations, airing the movies and lectures.

Mr Masoudi has been working in the field of experimental and laboratory theatre since 2007. He had taken part in festivals by Odin Teatret and Serbia before.

VU is a research program by the company, introducing phenomena, which define their own paths in the history of art.

The last research event by the company is a documentary on Eugenio Barba on April 18.

Eugenio Barba and Odin Teatret were in Iran from February 5 to February 8 and taught two Master Classes and two workshops in Tehran.  

Eugenio Barba is one of the internationally-known contemporary theater figures and founder of the renowned Odin Teatret.
