Loneliness of Human in Today's World

Director of "The Blind Owl" writes about his motivation of staging it as the piece is on stage in Charsou Hall of the City Theater Complex.

Naser Hosseinimehr, director and designer of "The Blind Owl", which is being performed in Charsou Hall of the City Theater Complex now, says about his motivations and concerns behind staging the play, irantheater.ir reported.

Mr Hosseinimehr writes:

"A few of Iran literature masterpieces can inspire a fresh idea in Iran Theater the way "The Blind Owl" does. We have not taken advantage of our literary treasury in theater a lot. We have got stuck ourselves in old rules of play writing with its complicated structures and repeated writing dialogue styles.

But "The Blind Owl" has a beautiful and mysterious structure with a simple language picturing the loneliness of today's human. Our play is a free adaptation of "The Blind Owl" and "Three Drops of Blood", which are written by noted Iranian writer Sadeq Hedayat". "Three Drops of Blood" has a phantasy-like and abstract image. "6 Theater Troupe" has tried to reflect the visual elements of both Hedayat's stories rather than to sticking to dialogues of the pieces word by word."

"The Blind Owl" is a free adaptation of "The Blind Owl" and "Three Drops of Blood", which are written by Sadeq Hedayat. It is performed every day except for Saturdays at 20:00. Babak Qahremani, Mojgan Khaleqi, Nayereh Sadat Mirzaei, Shahou Rostami, Ezeddin Tofiq, Maysam Damanzeh, Mahshid Kazmi, Vahid Faridi, Reza Shahraa, Esmail Khazaei and Morteza Mazloumi play in the piece.
