Majid Mirfakhraei: Haste Reduced Quality of Plays

Asghar Hemmat, Sohrab Salimi, Payam Foroutan, Farzad Moafi, Reza Mehdizadeh, Iraj Raminfar, Majid Mirfarkhraei, Elnaz Zeinalian, Hamid Sanieepour attended the gathering, which had started with an hour delay, irantheater.ir reported.

Frazad Moafi, one of the organizers of the gathering, said that they focused on educational targets in this edition and reached a decision to hold a student competition in set and costume design. The competition was held on Tuesday.

Iraj Raminfar said that today, the education is not as much as important in the field of art as it was in the past. Although there are more facilities for the youth today, he added, the set designers are still struggling with lack of instability in their job.   

Mr Raminfar said that cinema is more successful in Iran compared to cinema because there are more love in it.

Majid Mirfakhraei said that we were living in a society, which is apparently in haste. This rush, he added, had influenced its cinema and theater a lot, reducing the quality of works.

The artist hoped that such gatherings would continue and have positive impacts on the artists working in the field.

Also, Elnaz Zeinalian said that theater was facing shortage of facilities, hoping for improvement of the situation in a way that artists would work more easily.

Dr Hamid Sanei said that the art has no ending, addressing those attending the gathering to be in love of your work to make the world a better place for yourself.

Society of Set Designers paid a tribute to Iraj Raminfar, Majid Mirfakhraei, Elnaz Zeinalian and Hamid Sanieipour with a medallion designed with the logo of the society.
