To Introduce Performing Arts to Villagers

"Hungry Small Boy" in Charmahal-Bakhtiari

Children and adolescents in villages of Charmahal-Bakhtiari province in southeastern Iran will watch "Hungry Small Boy" from May 6.

The plan to show plays to introduce performing arts to audiences in different villages of Iran had started last year, irantheater.ir reported. Charmahal-Bakhtiari province hosts the plan from May 6 to May 10 this year.

"Hungry Small Boy" is the story of a small boy who is hungry when he awakes. He searches everywhere in the home but finds nothing to eat. Then, he goes to bakery but baker tells him to bring him flour to make him bread.

Fahimeh Mirzahossein has choreographed and directed the play. Atosa Shamlou is the designer of the plan. Samaneh Mirzahossein has made the puppets and Saeedeh Mirzahossein is the puppeteer.

Cinema Affair Directorate General and the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults have designed some glove puppets and gifted them to village teachers and spectators in boxes recently.
