A Look into 7th Day of Theater Forum Celebration

Over 50 Street Theater Performed

The last day of the Theater Week, which was held by Iran Theater Forum, attracted lots of spectators in Iran Artists Forum, the City Complex and Pardis Theater Complex.

Audience welcomed the performances warmly in the last day, irantheater.ir reported. The spectators whose number reached as much as 300 accompanied the show of theater groups from the early moments of their performances.

The giant puppets began the show as it was in other days. Hamed Zahmatkesh was the puppeteer.

Dance of Sarmastan Group, headed by Mehrdad Abjar, Siah Bazi by Sassan Mehrpouyan, Kheime Shab Bazi by Reza Faqihi, naghali by Shirin Emami and Mohammad Majouni as well as "Life of Bidish and Olambi" were among other shows of the closing day of the week. They took place in the outdoor area of Iran Artists Forum.

Asghar Hemmat, managing director of Iran Theater Forum, and Sohrab Salimi, secretary of the celebration, awarded gifts to the troupes.

Hamed Zahmatkesh invited Mehri Mehran and Behzad Farahani, the veteran theater artists, to come to the stage during the ceremony. Ms Mehran came to the stage along with Behzad Farahani and talked about her memoirs of long career.

Iraj Rad, deputy head of the board of directors of Iran Theater Forum, was also invited to the stage. He thanked organizers of the weeklong celebration.

Mr Hemmat also thanked staff and societies of Iran Theater Forum for helping the festivities to be organized very well.

Sohrab Salimi was the last who talked in the ceremony.

The giant puppets danced for the last time in the outdoor area of Iran Artists Forum to end the weeklong festivities.
