"First Tehran Cultural Artistic Comedy Theater Award" to Be Held

The Dramatic Arts Center said that it would plan "First Tehran Cultural Artistic Comedy Theater Award" to help improve the content of comedies, irantheater.ir reported.

Objectives of the award include increasing solidarity and unity between the artists of Comedy Theater, improving the quality of the comedy, presenting role models of such genre of the performing arts, helping improvement of moral health in the field of comedy and creating a proper atmosphere for families to watch comedies more, increasing the spirit of joy and happiness based on Iranian/Islamic culture, trying to increase professional and union solidarity among professionals of comedies and improving different types of comedy through evaluation by experts.  

Those comedies with the official permission to perform between March 7 and August 21 could take part in the event.

The Morteza Ahmadi statue, honorary diploma, emblem and cash prize will be awarded to the best plays, director, actor and actress, set design, lighting design, costume design, make-up design, poster, brochure, visual identity and virtual advertisement.
