Theater-Lovers Increase Supports of Razavi Theater Festival

Mahdi Shafiee took part in the theater celebration of the northeastern province in Bojnourd along with Hossein Farkhondeh, director general of North Khorasan Culture and Islamic Guidance Department, Mahdi Hajian, director of the country's Secretariat of Performing Arts Festivals, Ali Abedi, director of Tehran's Sangelaj Theater Complex and artists of North Khorasan, irantheater.ir reported.  

Hossein Farkhondeh, director general of North Khorasan Culture and Islamic Guidance Department, welcomed the guests, especially the director general of Dramatic Arts Center, and the delegation accompanying him.

Mr Farkhondeh said that presence of North Khorasan theater artists in leading international festivals proved that the province boasted of lots of talents.

Mr Shafiee referred to the outstanding improvement in North Khorasan performing arts, adding that in addition to the artists, the province had had theater-loving audiences, who welcome plays, especially pieces with religious themes.

Mr Shafiee further said that studious officials and artists of the province had encouraged the center to extend its special backing of Razavi Theater Festival and increase its support year by year.

The celebration was ended following a tribute, which is held annually, to veteran artists and officials.
