Iran Theater Officials to “ME” International Theater Festival in Germany

Mr Mahyari said that this would be the first edition of the festival to be held in German city of Würzburgin June, irantheater.ir reported.

He added that theater companies from across the Europe were going to present their productions in the festival.

Mr Mahyari said that Mahdi Shafiee, director general of Dramatic Arts Center, Shahram Karami, Tehran Municipality’s Art Culture Organization’s cultural director and Amir Hossein Hariri, director of Iran University Theater, were invited to take part in the festival.

He added that “ME” festival, which was aimed at increasing interaction between theater groups of different countries, had invited theater officials to serve the purpose.  

The festival was organized by Tehran’s Zendegi Theater Company and Würzburg’s Neunerplatz Theater.

Groups from France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Iran will take part in the festival.

The festival will take place in Würzburg from May 27 to June 2.
