Tabasom Hashemi to Iran Theater:
To Play Beatrice in “The Four Seasons”

Tabasom Hashemi, noted cinema, television and theater actress, has played acclaimed roles in “House of Mr Karami”, “My Sky”, “A Long Eulogy for Rain” and “Chancellor” in recent years.
Ms Hashemi told irantheater.ir that she was rehearsing for two plays and one television series -Undergraduates- by Soroush Sehat.
She added that she was rehearsing for Ebrahim Galehdar’s “Good Viraf”, which was going to take part in Traditional/Ritual Theater Festival.
The play would tell the story of a good and honest person which was under pressure for revealing some information, she explained. “I play that person”.
Morteza Aghahosseini, Mostafa Ghaffari, Ali Ataei and Saba Soleimani are other cast members. The rehearsals are underway in Mehrab Hall.
Ms Hashemi said that “The Four Seasons” was written by British dramatist Arnold Wesker and would be directed by Faranak Torabi. Entezami Hall of Iran Artists Forum will host the play if it would take the permission.
The play is about a love between Adam and Beatrice, who have been bruised by their separate marriages and love affairs.
It is a realistic play, she said and added that she would play the role of Beatrice who said in the play “I have no art”.
But, Ms Hashemi said, Beatrice was a perfect woman and an artist, a capable painter with open mind and compassion who could bring peace for those around, adding that Beatrice was like all people a real and grey character who could show her dark sides sometimes.
Ms Hashemi said that her mate in the play would be Morteza Aghahosseni, Siamak Ehsaei would be an advisor to director and art designer and Mostafa Ghaffari assistant director.
On her role in “Undergraduates”, which is a comedy, Ms Hashemi said that she had played in many comedies but Soroush Sehat was one of the best writers of comedies, had made many good comedies and know how to guide the cast in a comedy.
