64-Percent Rise in Submissions of Mariwan Street Theater Festival
Secretariat of 12th Mariwan International Street Theater Festival said that 423 ideas and plans were submitted to the event.
Street theater artists of the country submitted 423 ideas and plans to the secretariat of the festival following the invitation, showing a growth of 64 percent in submissions this year compared to those of a year before, irantheater.ir reported.
The submissions had been 273 in the previous edition of the festival while the deadline was not extended this year compared to previous editions.
361 out of 423 works are applied for Iran competition section and 62 for participation in ritual/traditional section.
The highest number of submissions are from Tehran, Mariwan, Kermanshah, Marand and Karaj with 56, 30, 29, 21 and 19, respectively.
The selection board has already started review of submissions to announce the final lineups in the fixed time.

The festival will take place in the western city of Mariwan on September 8 to 12. Fateh Badparva is the secretary.
