"The Door" to Stage in Toronto & Avignon
"The Door" will be performed in the 2017 Toronto Fringe Festival where about 70 foreign troupes will get together to stage plays.
"The Door" is Iran's only play, which was admitted to the festival. The play had and will have performances in the US, Germany, Canada and France, Iran Theater reported.
The play was enthusiastically welcomed in the US, Sweden and Germany. The play will head for France to have performance in 71st Off Avignon Festival.
The play is written and directed by Mehdi Mashhour. It is played by Shiva Mackinian and Mina Zaman. It tells the story of two Iranian women who intend to immigrate to Toronto for certain reasons. A man named Mr Golbahari will do their immigration works but…
Benyamin Esbati is an advisor to the director and voice artist of the play. Saeed Hasanlou set and costume designer, Sara Rasouli international affairs and Seyyed Mohammad Mosavat the graphic designer.
"The Door" will be performed in English in Toronto on July 7-15 and July 21-25 in France.
