Saber Abar Joins C
Saber Abar, cinema and theater actor, has joined the cast members of C Project, a joint production by Persian classical music vocalist Homayoun Shajarian and Iranian musician Sohrab Pournazeri.
Sahar Dowlatshahi, Amir Jadidi and Mehdi Pakdel had joined the project earlier, Iran Theater reported.
Homayoun Shajarian, singer, said that the rehearsal for multimedia of the project had started on June 22 and some actor and actresses had joined it.
Some new actors are introduced to perform live in the project, he said, adding that Saber Abar is the latest name while some other actors will join the project soon.
Homayoun Shajarian is going to have a musical performance of Shahnameh stories (written by legendary Persian poet Abolqasem Ferdowsi). Music, theater and animation figures of Iran will bring C on stage to help Iranians of every generation have better understanding of Shahanameh, using performing arts, music and animation. Creators of the project see it as a step toward bolstering the national identity.
The project will be performed on August 6 in Sa’dabad Cultural-Historical Complex of Tehran. Naghmeh Samini has written C and it will be directed by Asghar Dashti.
