Shahrzad Theater Complex to Open Officially

Shahrzad Theater Complex will be opened officially with “Lamborghini”, which is directed by Siamak Safari. Theater officials and artists as well as member of the press will attend the opening ceremony next week.

Mostafa Ghorbandoust, managing director of Shahrzad Theater Complex, said that the complex had three halls with more than 700 seats, making the venue the country’s biggest black box theater run by private sector, Iran Theater reported.

He added that the complex was well-equipped to meet demands of artists and spectators.

Mr Ghorbandoust explained that the complex had been inaugurated experimentally two weeks ago with four plays; “Hamlet, 2017”, which is directed by Kiumars Moradi, “Mahpishouni”, which is directed by Azadeh Ansari, “21”, which is directed by Bahador Maleki and “Little Bahman”, which is directed by Mehran Nael.

The executive staff of the complex are art director: Ashkan Khatibi, executive director: Mehdi Alinejad, coordinator: Parastou Torkaman, technical director: Ali Akbar Sedighinia and public relations director: Abbas Ghaffari, he said.

Mr Ghorbandoust also thanked Ali Rafiei, Mahdi Shafiee, directir general of Dramatic Arts Center, Behrouz Gharibpour, Atila Pesiani, Majid Rajabi Memar, managing director of Iran Artists Forum, Hossein Parsaei, Hossein Pakdel, Siamak Ehsaei, Hossein Mosafer Astaneh, Ghasem Jafari, Seyyed Azim Mousavi, Rahmat Amini, Farshid Mosadegh, Pejman Yashmchizadeh, deputy Tehran mayor for urban development, and Nasrollah Abadian mayor of district 11 of Tehran Municipality.
