Ehteram Boroumand:
Late Davoud Rashidi’s Birthday Anniversary in City Theater Complex

An exhibition to pay tribute to Davoud Rashidi will be held in the City Theater Complex to mark the 84th birth anniversary of the late cinema and theater actor.
Ehteram Boroumand, wife of the late Davoud Rashidi, told ISNA that the exhibition was planned last year on the 40th day of his death but it was delayed due to Shia Muslims’ mourning months of Moharram and Safar.
She added that the exhibition was planned for this year, opening on July 16, Iran Theater reported.
Ms Boroumand thanked manager of the City Theater Complex Payman Shariati and managing director of the Dramatic Arts Center Mahdi Shafiee and director of the exhibition Amir Esbati.
She added that close relatives and friends of the late actor would also see “The Confession”, which is directed by Shahab Hosseini and played by Ali Nasirian (Mr Rashidi’s fellow actor) and Mr Hosseini, on July 16 to celebrate his birth anniversary on its day.
Ms Boroumand explained that they would see a play on his birth anniversary because theater was the art he loved.
The exhibition including his personal effects, statutes, awards, theater posters, photos, and handwritings, will close on August 27, the death anniversary of the late Iranian actor, she said.
