Bahram Radan Joins C Project

Bahram Radan has joined C Project, a production by Homayoun Shajarian and Sohrab Pournazeri, Iran Theater reported.

Bahram Radan has started his intense rehearsals under direction of Ali Asghar Dashti. He will play the role of “Zal”.

Sahar Dowlatshahi, Amir Jadidi, Hossein Soufian and Mehdi Pakdel had joined the project earlier.

C Project is in its final days of rehearsals at Sa’dabad Cultural-Historical Complex of Tehran.

Homayoun Shajarian, a Persian classical music vocalist and Sohrab Pournazeri, an Iranian musician and composer, said that the rehearsal for different music, visual technology and theater were underway.

Homayoun Shajarian is going to have a musical performance of Shahnameh stories (written by legendary Persian poet Abolqasem Ferdowsi). Music, theater and animation figures of Iran will bring C on stage to help Iranians of every generation have better understanding of Shahanameh, using performing arts, music and animation. Creators of the project see it as a step toward bolstering the national identity.  

It opens on on August 6 at Sa’dabad Cultural-Historical Complex of Tehran. Naghmeh Samini, noted playwright, has written C, which is directed by Asghar Dashti.

The project is sponsored by art and cultural institutes of Delawaz, Barana as well as Samsung.
