Ali Nasirian Unveils Poster of Traditional and Ritual Festival

Ali Nasirian, renowned cinema and theater actor and director, has unveiled poster of the 18th Traditional and Ritual Theater Festival.

The poster was unveiled by Ali Nasirian at the City Theater Complex on Wednesday in a ceremony attended by Davoud Fathalibeigi, secretary of the festival, and Mahdi Shafiee, managing director of Dramatic Arts Center, Payman Shariati, director of the City Theater Complex, and a group of directors of various sections of the festival.

Davoud Fathalibeigi presented the ceremony by giving a figure of the participating groups, which had shown growth compared to the previous editions, Iran Theater reported.

He said that the increased showed the festival received warm welcome by the youth and theater groups.

Payman Shariati, director of the City Theater Complex and executive director of the festival, said that the event had been receiving enthusiasm among the youngsters and adolescents thanks to increase in number of naghalan (storytellers) among kids and adolescents.

Ali Nasirian thanked steps taken in the field of traditional and ritual theater, especially Iranian theater and the mobarak character, saying that more researches must be carried out on the character of mobarak or clown in comedies of other countries such as del Arte in Italy.    

Poster of the festival was unveiled by Ali Nasirian and Davoud Fathalibeigi and other directors at the end of ceremony. Saed Meshki is the designer of the poster.

The festival will open in Tehran on September 1.
