Hossein Mosafer Astaneh, Payam Dehkordi & Saeed Asadi Jury Members

Hossein Farkhondeh, secretary of the 12th Annual RAZAVI National Theater Festival, which opened on Sunday in northeastern city of Bojnourd, has appointed Hossein Mosafer Astaneh, Payam Dehkordi and Saeed Asadi as jury members.

Talking to reporters, Mr Farkhondeh who is also director general of North Khorasan Culture and Islamic Guidance Departmebt, said that 133 plays were submitted to the secretariat of the festival of which 44 qualified and now eight had reached final stage, Iran Theater reported.

Mr Farkhondeh said that Golshan and Shams halls play host to the lineup shows of the festival, adding that the final eight competitors were from provinces of Fars, Khuzestan, Karaj, Qom, Razavi Khorasan, North Khorasan and Qazvin.

The plays have performance on Monday and Tuesday, the official said, adding that the cities of Esfarayen and Shirvan would host two guest plays of the festival.

The second day of the 12th Annual RAZAVI National Theater Festival opens on Monday with one Pardeh Khani by master Madahnia and four stage plays of “It’s a Rainy Cloud”, which is written and directed by Asghar Graousi from Shiraz, “Chenar Laleh”, which is written and directed by Mahdi Ashough from Andimeshk, “Esmail”, which is written and directed by Sina Shafiee from Karaj, and “Breaking the Talsiman”, which is written and directed by Mohammad Reza Shahmardi from Qom

The festival will close on August 2.
