Managing director of Dramatic Arts Center at 12th RAZAVI Theater Festival:
Bojnourd Theater Has Sufficient Infrastructure Thanks to Festival

Mahdi Shafiee, managing director of Dramatic Arts Center, said after watching “Life Maybe Just Now” in Bojnourd, that Razavi theater festival was rooted in the Islamic religious teachings, which the man would need it.
Mahdi Shafiee, managing director of Dramatic Arts Center, arrived in the northeastern city of Bojnourd on Tuesday to attend the closing ceremony of the 12th Annual RAZAVI National Theater Festival. He watched “Life Maybe Just Now”, written and directed by Javad Eshkezari, in Shams Hall of Golshan Cultural Complex immediately after his arrival, Iran Theater reported.
Talking to reporters on the sideline of his presence in Shams Hall, Mr Shafiee said that the festival had managed to find its own audience among the residents of the city.
He added that permanent secretariat of the festival in Bojnourd had positively influenced management in the province.
On objectives of the festival, Mr Shafiee said that the festival was inspired by rites and rituals of RAZAVI (Imam Reza (AS), the eight Shia Imam) and showed the religion of Iranians and was needed, adding that the festival was aimed at encouraging productions, which could also be publicly shown to the public.
The official said that the performances had not been limited to the city of Bojnourd in this edition and other cities hosted shows too.
Mr Shafiee said that the conition of theater venues in North Khorasan province improved thanks to the festival, adding that no shortage of theater spaces was seen in the province anymore while new seats would be added to the theater halls within the next 20 days.
“That means we face no infrastructure problems here and we should embark on producing products, which could encourage more audience to come to the halls,” Mr Shafiee said.
The 12th Annual RAZAVI National Theater Festival opened over the weekend.
133 plays were submitted to the festival of which 44 reached the production section. The final shows of the festival had been eight. The festival had two guest plays, which had been performed in the cities of Shirvan and Esfarayen.
The festival will close on August 2.
