Mohammad Ali Keshavarz, renowned Iranian actor of cinema, theater and television, watched "The Confession" on Monday, August 14, at the City Theater Complex among warm welcome of the audience and after a long absence.
"The Confession" is directed by Shahab Hosseini, Iranian actor and director who won the Cannes Palme d’Or for best actor last year. He received the prestigious award for starring at Asghar Farhadi’s Oscar-winning drama “The Salesman” at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016.
He praised Mr Keshavarz at the end of his performance, saying that attendance of Mr Keshavarz coupled with acting of Ali Nasirian, another noted Iranian actor of cinema, theater and television, was a source of pride for him, Iran Theater reported.
Mr Keshavarz said as the spectators gave him a hero welcome on stage that he considered himself as a student of Mr Nasirian, who has been a great playwright and acclaimed actor of theater.
In response, Mr Nasirian said that the dear Mr Keshavarz had always been a respected colleague of him and his watching of "The Confession" delighted the cast.
"The Confession" started on Wednesday, June 21, in the main auditorium of the City Theater. It is written by the US writer, director and producer Brad Mirman.
"The Confession" is Shahab Hosseini's second experience in theater in which he plays the leading character too.
