International Theatre Festival of Caspian Countries Pays Tribute to an Iranian Artist

Warm Welcome for "Robinson Crusoe" in Kazakhstan

Tabriz's Ayna Theater Ensemble performed "Robinson Crusoe" by Alireza Koushk-Jalali at the First International Theatre Festival of Caspian Countries, The piece received warm welcome by the spectators.

The piece was performed in Aktau in Kazakhstan on August 27. Iran’s consulate general to Kazakhstan Mahmoud Adib watched the play, Iran Theater reported.
The play is against war and tries to convey message of peace and friendship.
"Robinson Crusoe" inspired by the character of Robinson Crusoe has a difference with its original version and it has two characters; Robinson and Crusoe. They want to kill each other as enemies but the finally establish a friendly relationship.  
Also, Atabak Naderi, Iranian theater director and official, received a medallion of TURKSOY, the International Organization of Turkic Culture, which was established in 1993 by Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey.  

TURKSOY has organized the International Theater Festival of Caspian Sea Countries in Aktau, Kazakhstan between August 24th-28th.  

 

The classical theater plays were performed by theaters of Caspian Sea countries and a jury including Israfil Israfilov (Azerbaijan), Laşa Çhartişvili (Georgia), Talgat Temenov, Azamat Satybaldy, Esmuhan Obaev and Esengali Raushanov (Kazakhstan) along with  Erdal Küçükkömürcü (Turkey) judged the pieces.

 

The festival was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birthday of the famous Kazak scriptwriter and director Asanali Ashimov. It was aimed to strengthen cultural ties among theaters of Caspian Sea countries and encourage new initiatives in the field of theater through the creation of the infrastructure necessary to carry out joint projects.
