Children & Youth Theater Festival Introduces Jury Members of Play Writing Competition
Charmshir, Jahangirian & Fadaeihossein at 24th Festival
The 24th International Children and Youth Theater Festival has introduced Mohammad Charmshir, Abbas Jahangirian and Seyyed Hossein Fadaeihossein as members of the jury of play writing competition.
Mohammad Charmshir, playwright and theater instructor will join Abbas Jahangirian, theater researchers and playwright and Seyyed Hossein Fadaeihossein, author, translator and theater instructor, to review and choose plays submitted for the competition.
The invitation of the competition has set two steps for choosing the final lineup.
First stage-10 plays will be chosen and authors can strengthen the dramatic aspects of their writing with the assistance of experts introduced to them by the secretariat of the festival.
Second stage-Plays of the first step will compete to win awards for the top three plays of the festival. The jury members can decide whether the plays could be published. If approved, the plays will be published by Namayesh Printing House and Iran Association of Performing Arts will sponsor their production. The published plays are not qualified for the competition.
Deadline for submission of plays was August 22. The jury members will announce the results of the first stage by September 11.
The 24th International Children and Youth Theater Festival will be held in the western city of Hamedan in Novemebr-December. Maryam Kazemi is the secretary of the festival.
