Ehteram Boroumand, Iranian artist and wife of the late theater figure Davoud Rashidi, hailed Tourism, Handicrafts and Cultural Heritage Organization for installing two tiles bearing the name of her and her husband on the gate of the couple’s house.
Ehteram Boroumand praised the organization for the tiles and commemorating the four artist members of the Rashidi family, Iran Theater reported.
The plan to install tiles at the gate of houses of luminaries has been part of a UNESCO’s 2003 Convention for safeguarding the intangible heritage of mankind.
The organization made the installation on the occasion of the death anniversary of the Davoud Rashidi.
Ms Boroumand described the measure as valuable, hoping that the organization would pay due attention in choosing the luminaries.
The celebrated Iranian actor Davoud Rashidi died in Tehran on August 26, 2016 at the age of 83.
