Ritual/Traditional Theater Festival a Fundamental Cultural/Artistic Event

In contemporary world, which globalization creates opportunities, it also puts indigenous and national cultures at risk. Rituals and traditions are among cultural mediums, which could help resist such threats. Therefore, the Ritual/Traditional Theater Festival is one of the most important cultural and artistic events of the country. It is a gathering which brings together researchers, theater artists and those interested in traditions and rituals to hold a celebration of friendship, solidarity and unification in which has plurality as we experienced in the near and far future.

The Ritual/Traditional Theater Festival is a chance for all of us to narrow gaps, watch our performing arts heritage and employ ancient experiences to meet needs of today’s human.

It is hoped this rich artistic treasure will be improved and promoted through the efforts of researches, those concerned, artists and different Iranian theater groups by recording, collecting, preserving and conserving this ancient heritage.

I appreciated valuable efforts of the organizers of the festival and pray God bless them with success.
