Message of Parviz Mamnoun for Jalal Sattari Award

High Score of Students to Teacher Positive

Parviz Mamnoun, author, researcher and director, sent a message of gratitude after he received Jalal Sattari Award from Sixth International Seminar of the 18th Ritual/Traditional Theater Festival.

The message read; Iran Theater reported.

Hello from Faraway to Dear Friends and Colleagues

The award made me happy for two reasons; first is that I am proud that I was teacher of two members of the selection board (Laleh Taqian and Davoud Fathalibeigi). When the teacher gives good score to students that is routine. But the high score of students to the teacher is something different. It tastes like Chelokabab (one of Iran’s tasty food).

Second is that my old friendship with Dr Jalal Sattari and deep respect for him because of his broad knowledge of philosophy, culture, history, religion. He has devoted his life studiously in penning books. Mr Sattari and his wife’s unique service to publish Namayesh (Theatre) Monthly, a reference for future researchers of Iran theater, has doubled my joy of receiving an award named after him.

I wish the best for all.
