35 theatrical performances in the style of Iranian rituals and traditions were performed on the fourth day of the 18th Ritual/Traditional Theater Festival.
Spectators enthusiasm has grown day by day since the festival opened on Friday, September 1, Iran Theater reported.
Nine stage plays, nine street and outdoor shows, seven pieces in "Iranian Theater Café", six plays of children and young adults, two naghali (Iranian storytelling), two Kheimeh Shab-Bazi (Iranian marionette shows) were performed on Monday for the audience in the outdoor areas surrounding the City Theater Complex in the capital Tehran.
Charsou Hall of the City Theater Complex hosted "Bahador", which is written by Javad Sedaghat. The 80-minute piece is co-directed by Javad Sedaghat and Elham Anbi from Bushehr.
Sayeh Hall of the City Theater Complex hosted "Tarabnameh Shahre Khail (Letter of Joy of the City of Fantasy)", which is written and directed by Kayvan Nakhaei. The 65-minute piece had two performances at 17:00 and 19:00.
Qashqaei Hall of the City Theater Complex hosted "The Secret of the Last Story". The 90-minute piece is written and directed by Hossein Tofangdar from Tehran.
Plateau Hall of the City Theater Complex hosted "Bijan and Manijeh". The play is directed by Sadaf Mahdian from Qazvin based on Naghali (storytelling) old stories. The 35-minute piece takes part in the Review of Iran Theater and Academic Section of the event.
Sangelaj Theater Complex hosted "Naghle Hall", which is written and directed by Hadi Houri from Tehran. The 80-minute play takes part in the New Products Section of the festival.
"Kachal (Bald) Oghlan", a play in Turkish language, was performed at Honar Theater Complex. The 50-minute piece is written and directed by Hamidreza Qezelbash from Zanjan. It takes part in Review of Iran Theater Section of the festival.
Namayesh Hall of Iran Theatre Office hosted "Eloquent Story of Gordafarid". "Eloquent Story of Gordafarid" is written by Fouziyeh Qarehgozloei. The 25-minute play is directed by a group of directors. The piece takes part in the Review of Iran Theater and Academic Section of the event, which will close on September 6.
