'Caravan of Light' Commemorates Martyr Hojaji

Mahmoud Abad's Hamrahan Theater Troupe performed 'Caravan of Light' to mark the mourning month of Moharram and the beginning of the Sacred Defense Week, which commemorates start of Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988) on September 24, Iran Theater reported.

'Caravan of Light' was staged at Ghadir Hall of Nour by Hamrahan Theater Troupe, which is affiliated to Mahmoud Abad Culture and Islamic Guidance Department.

'Caravan of Light', which is written by Asghar Vashahri Ghamsari, is co-directed by him and Ehteram Boroumand. Green Rain Cultural and Artistic Institute and Delshodegan Music Institute of Mahmoud Abad have sponsored the show.

Hamid Reza Gholmohammadi Tavandashti is an advisor to director and Mahdi Nasrollahzadeh assistant director.

'Caravan of Light' tells how families of third Shia Imam Hussein (AS) were taken hostage by Yazid after Imam Hussein was ruthlessly martyred. It is in three acts.   

Asghar Vashahri Ghamsari, Seyyed Ali Hosseini, Hosseinali Bagheri, Mohammad Nourani, Seyyed Mohammad Rahim Hosseini, Seyyed Isa Hosseini, Yasin Vashahri Ghamsari, Morteza Taghavi, Golsa Haydari, Zeynab Hesami Arani, Rahil Tavakoli, Yeganeh Khoshkou, Sania Hosseinpor, Fatemeh Farhang, Zoha Mohammadi, Diana Asadi, Fatemeh Ebrahimi, Tahereh Mohammadi, Fatemeh Hosseini, Masiha Kazemi and Fatemeh Golmohammadi Tavandashti play in the piece.

Mojtaba Ebrahimi is the producer assistant, Ali Delkhak music, master Abbasi Nay player, Parastou Nasajifar and Ehteram Hosseinpour set designers and Parastou Nasajifar and Ali Reza Golmohammadi Tavandashti makeup designers.

It will have performance until September 29.
